I find it interesting whenever i see empty alcohol containers or drug paraphanalia such as used needles in a alley I always see empty soda cans or high sugar food trash like candy bar wrappers littered together with it…thats why I started researching sugar.I read Sugar Blues by William Duffy..sugar really is a drug..and a very harmful one at that-GOOD VIDEO!!

Sugar is definitely a drug.. No one can argue. When I go for buffets I rush through the appetizer & main course to go to the dessert section. While on a diet I don’t care for the burgers & pizzas but it breaks my heart to avoid the sugary snacks. It’s not only saddening it causes terrible withdrawal symptoms like fatigue, restlessness , head ache etc

Not sure why he replied in that manner, either, which is why I chose to ignore it. Thank you for your explanation. I still feel that by eating more vegetables and less grains, cravings will diminish on their own. However, no one is perfect and I suppose as long as this isn’t just a chemical to take the place of sugar, then it makes a little more sense. Thanks again.
No idea why the other guy that replied to you felt the need to be offensive towards you. Anyway, l-glutamine is a non-essential amino acid (means your body produces it) and is pretty much harmless to supplement as far as I know. It actually has some health benefits which I forgot (just google it) and is often taken by bodybuilders to aid recovery. I didn’t know it reduced sugar cravings, but I’m going to look into it, because it does sound helpful.

Dont be angry just because you are uneducated, these symptoms are not associated with everyone & clearly not you. Its a method for helping people cope that want to get off sugar but are struggling. I’m one of those persons who can eat as much as she likes, but doesn’t gain weight. Before the afternoon starts I’ve eaten 8 slices of bread, supplemented with cookies and chocolate. The downside of this: I’m always hungry! Two sandwiches will keep me good for 1,5 hour, and then my stomach starts to ask for more and I get moody. I’m sure about it: I’m a sugar addict. I’ve tried not to eat it, but my problem was: what can I eat instead? What is practical to take with me to work or class?
A pill? to deal with sugar cravings that you are trying to break? what kind of advise is that? I’m overweight, LOVE to eat and just started eating completely healthy the past two months. I’ve lost 10 pounds since. Fresh fruit in the a.m. is basically all the sugar i eat. I’ve increased my vegetable intake a LOT, reduced carbs and have practically eliminated wheat. I don’t recall any withdrawl or “Emergency” craving. How can you say get off the drug of sugar…and here’s a PILL to help???
My partner in crime with sugar refuses to stop buying soda and its affecting our kids as well. He eatings worse than I do.
it is like mj burns the sugars in the head…. normally with people around, people go and indulge themselves because they feel hungry and want sugary stuff… when i used to do mj, i just stayed put on the hunger feeling and didnt eat anything for long time, it felt like it was burning the sugars in the head and body…
